Inlovewithnight, when you do download all your drivers burn them to a Cd for future use just in case you need again. OK, I went onto the Dell Drivers site. I downloaded the "chipset" and "audio" drivers. Under "video" drivers, there are eleven and I'm not sure which one to download.

I also do not see "onboard Lan" or "modem" drivers. Most likely you have the Intel-Driver G Graphics Controller assuming you don't have a dedicated video card.

Of the four entries under "Network" all you need is the Intel-Driver to get your internet running. The rest are not necessary. The modem is under "Communications". You either have a Conexant or an Intel Modem. I always remove the side cover and look with a flashlight for a label to determine which one it is. Most of the time with the Dell's I've seen, the modems are Conexant. Again, all you will really need is the Driver, not the utilities unless you prefer to have them.
