Not found the solution yet - I seem to be able to install the card's drivers ok - and it says it's working fine - but unfortunately when i scan for new locations it comes back as none highly possible where I live so until I have something to test it with I'm a bit stuck. However actual WiFi-AP Solo software can be installed - it just wont run properly ie it opens and the window immediately minimises back to the tray without all options greyed out Personally I'm not convinced any of it is working, but I'm firstly thinking its just the WiFi-AP Solo wizard app thing that needs checking.

Even though there is the icon in the tray, the application it self doesn't seem to working at all. I tried the latest drivers from ASUS but the problem remains. Tuesday, November 20, PM. I've had the same problems, as pretty much all of you, I'm not aiming to use it as an AP however, I'm trying to connect to my router with the damn thing!

I enter the network settings perfectly and have tried many variations infact. Obviously that's not a wise move. I'm using the realtek drivers as the ASUS Wifi-ap solo where driving me crazy; not installing correctly, minimising, greyed out options and then to top it off I couldn't remove them. I'm thinking of resorting to some other USB dongle to connect to my network, I would jus shove an ethernet cable in, but I had to totally re-arrange my furniture, so that would mean 30 meters or so of wire!

Thursday, November 22, PM. Having same problem as stated in almost every post above. Have the realtek onboard wifi adapter. However, my problem is a bit different. One last thing, i have used a linksys usb dongle adapter, and it works fine, so i dont know what the hell is going on. Sunday, December 30, PM. Well, I sadly have to add another voice to the discontent. I've created the network and the WiFi connection on the pc is showing as working properly connected, excellent signal. Both laptops see the network but cannot connect to it no matter what I do reset modem, reset cards, restart pc and laptops.

Stranger yet, when by some unexplained reason I do succeed in connecting a laptop to the network, the network diagram Vista Home Premium OS shows a broken connection from the pc to the internet and thus cannot access it. And strangest of all, I did connect once with the laptop internet connection established but lost it for good when I shut off my pc and laptop for the night.

After several days trying, I did manage to reach tech support at ASUS who ran me through the entire process again uninstall AP Solo, download the latest version from their website I had it already , set it up through the Wizzard, turn off firewalls and anti-viruses, etc Same result: No connection.

After this is set: go to network center and press customize next to the unknown wireless network. Set it to private network. Edit the ip settings of the unknown network to a fixed IP instead of assign automically.

I put in
